THE V

The V is an installation at the entrance of Art Verona (an art fair) - a set of furniture and a canopy designed not only to provide the visitors with a seating area, but to seriously transform the space in front of the fair, creating a welcoming territory that serves as a temporary landmark of the exhibition.

The canopy is a network of metal wires anchored in the existing buildings. A mass of rhomboid foil needles are hung from the wires, creating a series of hyperbolic surfaces that are dense, yet allow for sunlight penetration, and are constantly moving with the wind, creating a shimmering cloud above the visitors' heads. Together with the organic lounging sofas they create a series of spaces for relaxing, preparing, and public events.
