Dmitri loves fast cars and beautiful women, and has just moved to Marseille. He is obsessed with his newest project - the Moscow Raceway for F1. Not being able to be at the site every day, he wants to be as close to the track as possible - perhaps live in it? The racing track, an obsession and a symbol of his ultra-fast lifestyle, becomes the driving organizational and formal concept of the house.

As the European Capital of Culture 2013, Marseille was redeveloping vast parts of its historical centre - but instead of providing communities with initiatives to improve their neighborhoods, the projects solved problems by gentrification; instead of preserving Marseille’s character of a historical and diverse city, they created a generic, icon-dotted ‘global city’.
